Week of September 28

Hello,

I hope everyone enjoyed the extended weekend. This Thursday is picture day. Information about picture day went home on Friday in students Friday folders. On Friday of this week interim reports will be going home in the students Friday folders. Also on Friday an email will be sent out for parent/teacher conference signups. In math this week we are finishing up our unit on estimation and rounding. A study guide will be going home for their test that will take place next Tuesday. In science our mealworms have become beetles. Students will be receiving caterpillars to observe the lifecycle of next. We will be finishing up our first social studies unit this week and be taking a test over the first unit next week on Thursday. Students will receive a study guide for it this week. Also in social studies this week students will be bringing home their Flat Stanley’s to be mailed out. In ELA students will be receiving a new reading log and list of words to study. Students will be assessed over the words next week on Friday October 9. During ELA this week students are continuing to learn about folktales and how to write a paragraph.
